Final project- Native Pony
For this project I decided to make a pony to go along with my native girl. It was a lot of trial and error but I managed to get the main idea of what it is. In my culture it wasn't detailed, just to the point where you can look at it and know what it's supposed to be. I layed out the leather and drew shaped I thought looked close to the sketch I did on my phone and cut it out so i could either whip stitch or straight stitch it together. I filled it with more leather and some scrap sinew. The mane and tail is the tail of my horse Gambler's Aces and i did single stivhed to tie them on and then colored the sinew black to blend it in more.
Think Outside of the Box
For this project we took a square of a picture from a magazine and taped it to the paper and drew what we thought would go out outside of the square. I used perspective for the rocks to make it look like they're getting a little smaller the further they go back and pattern and repetition in the rocks. I struggled with what i wanted to do with the back but i decided to make it all fire.
Dream Home & Perspective
For this project we drew our dream homes in perspective. We had to work on one point. two point, and three point perspective. This project took me the entire time plus some days i worked on it during critiquing. The hardest part of this was either the towers or how long the grass took. The grass took me two days to finish. The easiest part was making the rock siding.
Abstract
For this project we did abstract art. We were given a sheet of instructions and our own creativity. Thus project took me about four days. I drew a human and made sure to follow the steps. The hardest part for me was that I wanted to blend the background but it wouldn't blend.
Alebrijes
For this project I made an alebrije. It took me the 2 weeks we worked on it. I made sure to put a heart pattern on it and the dot pattern on its tail. The hardest part was either keeping the curved ear on it or that i wanted it purple instead of blue but the purple kept drying transparent.
